Banks
discriminate against self employed people almost as much
as they do against those with poor credit, yet I believe
the self employed are the backbone of this country. They
provide more employment for the rest of us than all the
big companies put together.
If you've been in business
less than two years, the bank will baulk at lending to
you as the boss, but they'll give your foreman or secretary
a loan ahead of you! This is crazy!
Fortunately there are
a few progressive lenders who appreciate the value of
self employed people and who know how hard you work to
get ahead.
Even if you've only
been in business for one day, I may be able to find a
solution for you. However, you will need to be able to
offer more security or deposit than normal. If you are
wanting a low equity loan, I will be unable to help.
For those who have been
in business for more than a year and for whatever reason
are unable to provide financial records to satisfy the
banks, you can simply make a declaration of your income.
You will need to be able to provide adequate security
however.
